Unsung Hero

In this day and age, it seems like many riders are out there making a name for themselves, via social networking, self promotion, or simply just hot dogging.

Out in the world however, there are still guys on bikes, pushing limits, progressing, getting their kicks and living it up, just for fun. These few photos are from a weekend in the park with a rider many may never had heard of.

His demeanor, and appearance are modest and unassuming, his behavior on on two wheels is anything but. Working more than 40 hours a week, for the weekend, Mike Askew is a real life working class hero.

Not too long ago, My friends and I found an old school bus on craigslist for a relatively small amount of cash.
We worked together to fix it up with repurposed materials, hand me downs and more. A little engine work, some elbow grease, and we have been driving it around, visiting friends, and generally just having some good old fashioned fun.
These 56 photos were shot along the way, not necessarily great photos, but all good friends, enjoying good times. So many characters in these photos, enjoy…
