I went to see The Mercury Program at Kung Fu Necktie in Philly last night. I brought the camera and snapped some photos, even though looking at pictures of these guys playing does them about as much justice as listening to the sound only from your favorite bmx video. The Mercury Program are real musician’s musicians. They’re insanely tight and complex, not far different from a jazz band. Their sound is difficult to describe, so just listen to some of songs embedded in the next few pages, it’s really amazing stuff.
