One of these days…

Danava...
This week was interesting, spanning as many states as there were days, witnessing events new to me, and some just part of a bizarre routine…I passed through, and spent time in DC, Baltimore, Delaware, Upstate NY, Pennsylvania, Harlem, Brooklyn, and even a small patch of woods on a bicycle. At one point I even had a sandwich at gas station in Gettysburg, and thought of a joke only one or two people would get…
I was lucky to have made some new friends, and even more fortunate to re connect with some old ones, good friends, the kind where the time between visits, disappears the moment you see one another.
I saw the change from a warm sunny southern morning, into a brisk autumn afternoon in the northeast, and saw the foliage dragged towards the earth by an early snowstorm, all within a couple of days, for the low price of three dollars and fifty cents a gallon, consumed effortlessly by three hundred and eighteen cubic inches of combustion, all the while Neil Young found his way from the radio to my ears….
There was nothing profound or epic about my week, no miracles, revelations, or breakthroughs. I did however begin find a renewed respect for the good things I have to to be thankful for, in my friends, my job, my experiences, and so forth.
One of these days, I’m gonna sit down and write a long letter,
To all the good friends I’ve known, And I’m gonna try, And thank them all,
for the good times together.
